Greetings from 2010!!!
Sorry I'm a little tardy getting out this Jan. 1 edition of Will's World. I've been spending too much time reflecting on the first day of the new decade. And what a day it was. Within a 12-hour span my emotions went from a euphoric bliss to a depth two levels below the bottom of Dante's inferno. Ugh!!!
But that is life. And as the Buddha stated, life is full of suffering. We must find our own way to end the suffering.
All of today's images are from Laguna Beach, where my friend Dan and I took a plunge into the Pacific Ocean, as we do each New Year's Day. Besides the image of the two dips who went for a dip (taken by Dan's wife Yvette), is an image of moon over beach; sunrise looking towards Dana Point; a character named "Cowboy"; a musician named "Johnny", and a girl named Ahn running from the surf.
As I mentioned, the day brought out a full range of feelings buried within my heart. If this day is a taste of what is to come, I had better buckle my seatbelt because it's going to be an exciting, turbulant journey. And I'm glad you are along for the ride. At least I'm sure it won't be boring.
Taking care of business: I will attempt again today to put a duplicate copy of text and photos into Blogspot. Several friends have suggested that I use a blog to communicate ideas and photos. I will try it out and keep you, friends and family (redundant -- if you are a friend you are part of my family, if you are family you are a friend), updated.
Let's enjoy the 2010 ride together. I don't think we'll be bored.
The swimmers do not look like L Street Brownies.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I'm really excited that you've done a blog.
ReplyDeleteNext step is to figure out how to use "Feedburner" to make it so people can get the blog in their mailbox (without you having to mail it!) Check it out.
